Kern Family Health Care would like to remind you about the information you received from Medi-Cal for children 0 to 6 years old. The letter was about preventive care services available at no cost through Medi-Cal. Nothing is changing with your or your child's benefits.

All members between 0 to 2 years old should have 11 or more well-baby visits by the age of 2. All members 3 to 6 years old should have a well-child visit every year. These visits include services such as shots to prevent diseases; blood lead testing; and screenings for concerns with growth and development, dental health, vision, hearing and nutrition. Please call your child's doctor to make a well-child appointment.
