Language services for the Advice Nurse Line
Do you need to speak to a nurse in your language? For health issues that are not an emergency, we have a 24-hour Advice Nurse Line that can help you get advice and care quickly at no cost to KFHC members. This is for all members, including those 21 years of age and under. This also includes members who need an interpreter.
The Advice Nurse Line does not replace your primary care provider’s (PCP) office during the hours they are open. But it’s a good option if you have urgent health questions and can’t reach your PCP. They can help you decide on what to do if you or a family member is sick or hurt.
To connect with the Advice Nurse Line, call:
- 1-661-632-1590 (in Bakersfield)
- 1-800-391-2000 (outside of Bakersfield)
- TDD/TTY: 711 (for the hearing impaired)
Our Member Services staff can also help you get an interpreter for your next doctor’s visit.
