Provider Network & Services

Kern Health Systems is a managed care health plan. In managed care, your Primary Care Practitioner (PCP) works with Specialists and other health care providers to care for you. Your PCP will provide your basic health care needs.

Your PCP directs the care for all of your medical needs. This includes authorizations to see specialist doctors or to receive medical services, such as lab tests, x-rays, and/or hospital care.

The KHS network is extensive and it includes private practice doctors, pharmacies, vision providers, and hospitals all in Kern County.
