Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee (P&T)
The Kern Health Systems Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee (P & T) is an organized panel of physicians and pharmacists from varying practice specialties, who function as an advisory panel to the plan regarding the safe and effective use of prescription medications. A major function of this committee is to develop, manage, and administer Kern Health Systems’ drug formulary.

The committee meets quarterly to review, evaluate, and recommend safe medication use and cost effective therapies. The committee reports its activities to the Quality Improvement Committee, which reports to the Kern Health Systems Board of Directors.
