Kern Family Health Care is chosen by more Medi-Cal managed care members in Kern County than any other Health plan!*
What is Medi-Cal?
It is a health care program for qualifying individuals and families and it helps you get the health, dental, and vision coverage you need. It covers children birth through age 21, pregnant women and qualifying adults, including seniors and persons with disabilities. Eligibility is based on family size and family income. Changes in federal law allows California to expand its Medi-Cal health coverage program to all people who have incomes at or below 138% of the federal Poverty level (FPL). Medi-Cal can provide retroactive benefits up to three months prior to the date of the application.
