Description: The Programmer II will provide semi-complex systems design, software application development, technical documentation, and process improvement design for business operations in support of the Kern Health Systems (KHS) as prescribed by the MIS Technical Analysts, business management, or its designees. This position assists with and conducts programming activities in direct support of KHS goals and initiatives; work individually and in a team environment in some facets of system analysis and coding, testing and production support; and other work as required. This Programmer II follows, promotes, and contributes to the refinement of the project management and Agile development methodology, procedures, and policies. The incumbent is required to analyze processes and data in order to draw and articulate sound conclusions based on technical or business requirements, discussions, or overviews. The position is required to create, interpret, and follow detailed written and oral instructions; prepare clear, complete and concise complex technical reports, and the ability to work well and communicate with people of various professional, vocational and educational backgrounds
Requirements: Bachelorís degree from an accredited school or equivalent in Computer Science or related field and two (2) years of progressive programming or application development experience in a medium to large environment using Microsoft Studio, C#.NET, MSSQL, and relevant. Education can be substituted with Programming work experience on a year for year basis. The Programmer II position is suited for an early to mid-level career development person. Candidate must be a highly organized individual. Proficiency must be demonstrated in software development using object-oriented programming methodologies.
Microsoft Certified candidates preferred. Limited experience working in the healthcare insurance/payer industry preferred. Possession of valid driverís license and proof of State required auto liability insurance.
