Description: Under the direction of the Provider Relations Manager/Supervisor, responsible for obtaining and maintaining all credentialing documentation using NCQA standards and guidelines for the Provider Relations Department. The Provider Relations Department is responsible to ensure an appropriate network of health care providers is available to the members of Kern Health Systems health plan.
Requirements: Two (2) years or more of provider credentialing experience in the managed care and/or related health industry or three (3) years of similar experience with an emphasis on managing time lines, prioritizing and follow-up. High school diploma from an accredited school or equivalent; Bachelorís degree or AA degree preferred. Provider credentialing procedures and PC applications. Required travel up to 10%. Possession of valid California Driverís License and proof of valid State required auto liability insurance. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional communication (written and verbal) skills; adapt to a rapidly evolving work environment; work independently and manage multi-task responsibilities; intervene in crisis situation on behalf of the health plan or providers; prioritize workload, make decisions, solve complex and comprehensive problems; prepare a variety of reports.
