Description: This position will play an important role in making Kern Health Systems more competitive by developing skills of the workforce and accelerating organizational change by recruiting and retaining high-caliber employees. This position is responsible for the oversight and supervision of Kern Health Systems training program, for improving the productivity of the organizations managers, supervisors and employees, and for the effective development, coordination and presentation of training and development programs for all employees. The Corporate Training and Development Manager assess corporate-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identify and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance. The incumbent will facilitate classroom style training for newly hired supervisors and managers, and develop and deliver on-going leadership training to KHS Directors, Managers and Supervisors.
Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent. Bachelorís degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent; AND Eight (8+) years of professional experience in Training and Development, preferably for an HMO, including three (3) years of supervisory experience, OR; equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to: Maintain confidentiality. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to learn and retain multiple guidelines and recognize items that fall outside of those guidelines. Must be highly motivated, organized, flexible and have good time management and communication skills. Understand medical terminology and how it applies in a payor environment. Must have a willingness to help others learn and improve their skills. Possession of valid California Driverís License and proof of valid State required auto liability insurance; Required Travel Up to 25%.
