Description: Develops, coordinates and manages enrollment activities for Kern Health Systems (KHS) to achieve membership objectives. This classification is responsible for coordinating the enrollment activities and achieving membership objectives for a Knox-Keene licensed health care maintenance organization (HMO). Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in performing the essential functions of the job.  This position also involves extensive travel throughout the county and includes occasional evening and weekend event participation.

Requirements: Completion of 60 semester units or 90 quarter units from an accredited college/university or equivalent with course work in Sales/Marketing or other closely related field, AND two (2) years of experience in sales/marketing or Four years of experience in sales/marketing.  Experience in a medical managed care organization is highly desirable. Upon employment, must successfully complete Marketing Training and Certification program given by Kern Health Systems.  Bilingual (Spanish) required (Tier I Certified).  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Word processing and spreadsheet capabilities (Microsoft Word/Microsoft Excel).  Knowledge of health maintenance organization and managed care principles; local human and health services network; geographical, cultural and demographical diversity of the Medi-Cal population; marketing concepts and practices; principles of program development; governmental and public relations.  Possession of valid California driver’s license and proof of valid State required auto liability insurance. Up to 40% driving required.
