Title: MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Description: Under general administrative direction from the CEO and Kern Health Systems’ Board of Directors, develops and implements systems and procedures for all medical components of the Plan. This is a single classification, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of Kern Health Systems (KHS). The incumbent has the overall responsibility as a chief physician advisor and is directly responsible to the KHS Board of Directors for the quality of members’ health care under KHS
Requirements: Valid medical degree and license to practice in the State of California. Overseeing the appropriate utilization of healthcare; Credentialing Program. Provide physician leadership in medical arena and in general community public relations. Effectively function as a member of a team. Be able to write and communicate clearly and concisely.
